Sedalia Sidewalk Improvement Project Detailed

Beginning Tuesday, Sept. 8, Public Works crews will begin sidewalk removal work on the south side of East 6th Street from South Center Avenue to South Emmet Avenue.

Following the removal work, the contractor, Epic Concrete Construction, Inc., will begin the installation of a new sidewalk.

Heavy equipment and workers will be in the area. This work is weather dependent and inclement weather may result in the work being rescheduled to a later date.

The project is being funded in part by a State of Missouri Community Block Grant (CDBG).

The grant, when combined with matching City funds, will result in the construction of and repair of ADA compliant sidewalks, curbs and gutters, the City of Sedalia said.
