Sedalia Tabernacle Annexed Into Sedalia City Limits
A public hearing concerning the annexation of the new Sedalia Tabernacle received no input Monday night at the start of the Sedalia City Council's meeting.
The City received a petition from owners of property at 23299 Highway B to be annexed into the City and be zoned for C-3 Commercial use.
A public hearing is required by state statute no earlier than 14 days after receipt of the petition and no more than 60 days.
The City must find that the annexation is reasonable and necessary to the proper development of the City and that the City had the ability to supply municipal services to the area “within a reasonable amount of time after annexation.”
There was no on present at the meeting Monday to speak for or against the proposal, so Council voted to approve annexation and zoning request.
