Sedalia Teen Injured in Pettis County Accident

A Sedalia teen was injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred Tuesday evening in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that a westbound Chevy Sonic driven by 18-year-old Solomon H. Ellis of Sedalia was at Route Y and Quisenberry Road at 6:40 p.m. when he attempted to navigate a left turn and was struck by an eastbound 1997 Jeep Wrangler driven by 16-year-old juvenile from La Monte.

Ellis suffered minor injuries and was transported by PCAD to Bothwell Regional Health Center for treatment.

Solomon was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. The juvenile was wearing a seat belt and was reportedly uninjured.

Both vehicles were moderately damaged and towed from the scene.
