Sedalia Young Professionals to Host Annual Food Drive

The Sedalia Young Professionals invites the community to help collect food for Open Door Ministries Food Pantry by participating in its third annual fall food drive.

SYP members will collect food at both entrances of Walmart, 3201 W. Broadway Blvd. in Sedalia, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9 and Thursday, Nov. 10.

They will have large boxes waiting to be filled by Sedalia residents with non-perishable food items needed by those served at Open Door’s food pantry in Sedalia. Monetary donations will also be accepted.

If individuals or area businesses would like to contribute to SYP’s efforts but can’t stop by Walmart during the designated days, contact Public Relations Chair Nicole Cooke.
SYP’s 2015 fall food drive collected almost 600 pounds of food to donate to Open Door.
