Sedalian Arrested for 3rd Degree Domestic Assault

Sedalia Police arrested 36-year-old Ryan Michael Leeman of Sedalia for 3rd Degree Domestic Assault after officers responded to a physical disturbance in the 1000 block of Leone at 5:57 a.m. Saturday.

According to a report, the victim said the suspect was irate and yelling at one of the witnesses, and forced his way into the witness' bedroom, where he tried to grab the victim. The witness then grabbed the suspect and pulled him away. The suspect then hit the victim in the head multiple times, causing redness and swelling to the victim's left side of their head.

Leeman was taken into custody and transported to the Pettis County Jail on a 4-hour hold, pending the filing of a formal charge of 3rd Degree Domestic Assault.
