State Fair Community College is pleased to announce Bailey Graceffa as the new Spirit Squad head coach.

Graceffa brings to SFCC experience as a competitive and collegiate cheerleader, as well as a competitive cheer coach and instructor.

Graceffa served as the head cheer coach at Oakhill Day School for pre-school through fifth grade from August 2015 to May of 2017. Graceffa was responsible for teaching the proper techniques that keep students safe when cheerleading. She oversaw schedules, organizing, ordering uniforms, and choreographing routines.

Graceffa served as an instructor for the National Cheerleaders Association in Dallas, Texas, from April 2017 to June 2018. She was responsible for teaching high school cheerleaders new skills as well as how to effectively lead a crowd. Some of the camps were located at Division I universities, and about 600 athletes attended. She led some private high school camps where she was responsible for teaching new cheers, dances and stunts. Graceffa also choreographed state and national routines.

From May 2017 to May of 2019, Graceffa was an All-Star cheerleading coach as well as an athlete at FURY Athletics. She was on an international open level six team and coached tumbling classes and competitive teams. Graceffa was responsible for choregraphing routines, creating new stunt sequences, strength and conditioning, and making sure the athletes were safe. She also was a cheerleader at William Jewell College in Liberty.

She believes this position is right for her and already has plans for the SFCC squad.

“I have always wanted to be a college coach,” said Graceffa. “The tightknit community at State Fair made this the ideal position to jump in to. I really want to grow the squad. I also want to incorporate cheer and dance together, do some coordinated performances, appearances, and hopefully, progress toward a competition team in the future.”
