State Fair Community College (SFCC) freshman forward Quincenia Jackson has been named the NJCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 29-Dec. 5.

“This is a very special award,” said Lady Roadrunners Head Basketball Coach Nicole Collier. “Quincenia has been the heart and soul of what we are trying to do. She is a very solid player for us who shows up every night. She has great hands and finishes everything around the rim. She also rebounds well for us."

Jackson began the week leading SFCC in points and rebounds with 27 and 17, respectively against Jefferson College. Jackson followed that up with another double-double against nationally-ranked Three Rivers Community College with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

In her game against nationally-ranked Moberly Area Community College Jackson led the team in scoring with seven points, pulled down a team-high six rebounds, and led the team in blocked shots with five. Jackson averaged 18 points and 11 rebounds over the three games.

Jackson leads SFCC in scoring this season, averaging 16 points per game. Jackson leads the team in field goal percentage at 63.9 and rebounds with 8.4, while starting in every game for the Lady Roadrunners.
