SFCC Shooting Sports Returns to Competition at William Woods
The State Fair Community College (SFCC) shooting sports team competed at the William Woods University Fall Shootout in Jefferson City on Sunday, Oct. 30.
The event was sanctioned by the National Collegiate Shooting Sports Athletic Association.
The event consisted of 100 American Trap, 100 American Skeet, and 100 Sporting Clays.
Aidan Meyer from Boonville shot the high score of 96 for SFCC In America Trap.
“I’m pretty proud of him for picking up over 20 birds,” said SFCC Head Coach Sarah Manuel.
NJ McKenzie from Boonville was the high score at the event in Men’s American Skeet with an 89. Arthur Sims from Sedalia picked up over 25 birds from his last competition.
“Arthur continues to improve In America Trap and in American Skeet, said Mauel. “He came to our team after not being part of a club organization or a team in high school. NJ McKenzie and Justin Duenke received their American FFA Degrees this weekend on Saturday in Indianapolis and then turned around and shot on Sunday.”
