State Fair Community College (SFCC) Softball Coach Lyndsey Talbot has announced six new student-athletes, with each beginning their academic and athletic careers at SFCC in the fall.

Alisen Pierson is a pitcher/first baseman from Carrollton High School.

“Alisen will bring some power to our offense and help our team in the circle,” said Talbot.

Anabelle Hitt is a pitcher who was homeschooled.

“She is a crafty pitcher,” said Talbot. “Anabelle can pitch with both her left and right hand. She is a true rise ball pitcher; we are excited to mix that in along with our other pitchers.”

Jaelyn Winfrey is an outfielder/catcher from Sweet Springs High School.

“Jaelyn is speedy. We are excited to see where she fits on our team. We are hoping that she will be able to lock down our outfield for us. She will also add a little bit of power to our team.”

Jocelyn Wolf is a catcher/third baseman from Camdenton High School.

“Jocelyn is a power hitter with a lot of pop in her bat,” said Talbot.

Sami Picha is a shortstop from Fort Zumwalt South High School.

“She has a lot of range and good arm strength defensively,” said Talbot.

Zoey DeHaas is a utility player from Southern Boone High School.

“Zoey has played third base and outfield,” said Talbot. “She has good speed; we will have to see where she fits in with our team.”

Coach Talbot is excited about her incoming recruiting class.

“It’s a smaller class, but all the players are very talented,” said Talbot. “I think our newcomers will mix in well with our returning players.”
