SFCC Theatre Arts Students to Showcase Talents May 9 – 10
The State Fair Community College Theatre Arts program will present a free student theatre showcase at 7 p.m. May 9-10 in the Thompson O’Sullivan Studio Theatre in the Yeater Learning Center, Room 126, on the Sedalia campus. The public is invited.
The showcase is a collaborative project in the acting and directing classes. Several student directed one-act plays will be presented. Performances are rated R for language and mature subject matter. Admission is free, and reservations are not required. Complimentary refreshments will be served.
Students participating as actors, directors and crew members are Kim Ransdell, Lincoln; Cody Jones; Harrisonville; Holden Childress, Urbana; Tessa Luechtefeld, Warrensburg; Dakota Swain, Lowry City; Allison Hayes, Macon; Sara Stansbury, Jefferson City, Alecia Bennett, Kansas City; Garrett Hight, Oak Grove; Noah Summitt, Warrensburg; Joshua Barner, Lee’s Summit; Meredith Pruitt, Cole Camp; Maryanne Henley, California, Missouri; Abagail Gish, Knob Noster; Devon Hawkins, Sedalia; Quinn Frerking, Fayette; and students in the Stagecraft and Lighting class.
Three students participating in the showcase who plan to graduate May 17 with their Associate of Fine Arts degrees are Hannahmaye Doster and Lauren Dowell, both of Odessa, and Victoria Stowell of Sedalia.
