State Fair Community College’s Admissions and Outreach will extend business hours to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday (May 22) and Thursday (May 23) for enrollment in summer and fall classes.

SFCC says enrollment will take place in Hopkins Student Services Center on the Sedalia campus. Admission applications are free.

The summer semester begins June 4; enrollment closes at 11:59 p.m. June 3 for 8-, 6- and 4-week classes. Day and evening classes offered range from accounting and agriculture to web development and welding, and about 100 online classes are available, according to SFCC.

Pell grant funds can be used for summer classes, as well as A+ scholarship funds.

Fall minimester classes will be held July 31 through August 13. The regular fall semester begins August 19.

Students who register for fall classes by May 31 will be placed into a drawing for a scholarship give-a-way. One $500 scholarship, four $250 scholarships and ten $100 scholarships will be awarded.

It was noted that students must be degree or certificate seeking and be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours.
