The State Fair Community College (SFCC) Roadrunners took home three top-eight finishes from the 2022 NJCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships held at Pittsburg State University on Friday and Saturday, March 4 and 5.

Freshman Wyatt Irwin finished sixth in the high jump with a jump of 2.04 meters. Freshman Jalen McGee finished seventh in the high jump with a jump of 2.04 meters. McGee also finished seventh in the long jump with a jump of 7.27 meters.

Sophomore Zac Anderson finished 30th in the 60m dash in a time of 7.10 seconds. McGee also qualified in the triple jump and freshman Brandon Allen qualified in the 600m.

SFCC finished 24th (tied) in the team standings.

"We had a very exciting weekend," said SFCC Track and Field Head Coach Brad Hagedorn. "Four weeks ago, we adjusted our training so we would peak this weekend and we did so with a bang. Zac Anderson competed very well in the 60m dash but, did not make the final. Brandon Allen was fighting an injury and we decided it best to scratch him from the 600m.

"Jalen did not compete in the triple Jump on Saturday morning due to an injury suffered during the high jump. I am extremely pleased with how our indoor season went and am excited to see what the outdoor season brings. "
