State Fair Community College (SFCC) Lady Roadrunners Basketball student-athlete Tieriney Echols has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic career at Division I Arkansas State University in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Echols played in 14 games, starting in 11 during her sophomore campaign, while battling injuries. Echols averaged 7.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.1 steals per game. Echols scored in double-figures four times, including 26 points against Missouri Valley junior varsity.

As a freshman, Echols appeared in 11 games, starting in nine. Echols averaged 6.6 (a team-high) and 6.3 rebounds per contest. Echols scored a season-high 15 points in a game against Three Rivers, one of four double-figure scoring games throughout the season.

“Tieriney Echols is an explosive, versatile student-athlete who plays at a high level,” said Lady Roadrunners Head Coach Nicole Collier. “I am happy she chose Arkansas State to continue her academic and athletic career, because of the exciting vision they have for her in their program.”
