SFCC (3-3-2, 0-2 in Region 16) played the Central Methodist University Eagles in Sedalia on Sunday, Sept.16 with the game ending in a 2-2 tie.

The Eagles got on the scoreboard first with a goal off of a rebound with 18 minutes remaining on the first half clock; a lead that would hold going into halftime.

SFCC tied the game with a goal from freshman midfielder Angelo Salomone of Australia on a corner kick with 39 minutes remaining in regulation with the assist from freshman forward Aaron Latimer of Amarillo, Texas.

The Roadrunners took the lead with a goal off of a penalty kick by Hondroudakis with 14 minutes and 29 seconds remaining in regulation. The Eagles matched the point off another corner kick from the top of the box to tie the match.

Regulation ended with the 2-2 tie. The Roadrunners had three shots to win the game with less than seven minutes remaining in the first overtime, but the Central Methodist defense held strong.

The game remained tied at the end of the first overtime. The scoring drought continued in the second overtime and the match ended 2-2.

"This was another game where we created opportunities all day long, but we just couldn't put them away," said Coach Jamie Beltran. "

Sophomore goalkeeper Reece Gabbert of Sedalia got the start in the net for SFCC, where he recorded two saves in the match. Aguero led his team in shots with seven, four of which were on goal.
