State Fair Community College’s The LearningForce is offering a one-day Quilters Road Trip to Hamilton, MO “The Disneyland of Quilting,” on Saturday, November 9.

SFCC says a chartered coach will pick up guests promptly at 7:30 in the morning at SFCC’s main parking lot, located at at 3201 W. 16th Street.

The LearningForce quilt instructor Rebecca Schnakenburg will be the guide.

Attractions in Hamilton include Missouri Star Quilt Co., J.C. Penney Museum and Quilt Shop, Missouri Star Modern Quilt Co. and Mercantile, various fabric shops, restaurants and more. The coach will leave Hamilton at 3:30 in the afternoon and arrive back in Sedalia at approximately 5:30 p.m.

The cost is $75.00 per person and covers transportation and a swag bag.

It was noted that admission to Missouri Quilt Museum ($10.00), food and other purchases are not included in ticket cost. A minimum number of participants are needed to ensure that the trip is held, and early enrollment is encouraged.
