State Fair Community College’s The LearningForce will offer 'School Bus Driver Training' in July.

SFCC says training will take place from 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. July 23 and July 24 in the Thompson Conference Center in the Heckart Science and Allied Health Center, located on the Sedalia campus.

A post on the SFCC website indicates the training session is for licensed school bus drivers who need to obtain the eight-hour state mandated certification required by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Topics may include mandated reporting, safety management, adverse weather, emergency evacuation, student management, hearing impairment and language challenges, security, and railroad operation lifesaver grade crossing safety sign identification.

The cost is $25 per person and lunch is included.

To register for the July session, visit sfccmo.edu/the-learning-force, or call 660-530-5822. Early enrollment is recommended due to limited class size.
