Stabbing Suspect Arrested in Sedalia

On Monday evening at 7:29 p.m., Sedalia Police responded to 802 E. 15th in reference to a stabbing.

Officers arrived and located the suspect, taking her into custody without further incident.  Two victims were located who had injuries consistent with being stabbed. Both were transported from the scene to Bothwell Regional Health Center by PCAD.

23-year-old Aliya Kristine Riggs of the incident address was also taken to Bothwell and later cleared for confinement.

Riggs now faces charges of 1st Degree Domestic Assault, Armed Criminal Action, Unlawful Use of a Weapon and 3rd Degree Aggravated Domestic Assault.
