Suspect in Deadly Hit-and-Run Crash Arrested in Missouri

The search had ended for a driver accused of fleeing after a deadly hit-and-run crash in southeast Missouri.

Scott County Sheriff Rick Walter said Tuesday night that the driver was in custody. The Sikeston Standard Democrat reports that the truck thought to have been involved in the crash also has been located.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 49-year-old Jackie Crumley, of Benton, was hit Monday night while walking along a county road. He was pronounced dead a short time later.
