Chili

The LaMonte School Board is hosting the annual scholarship fundraising dinner this evening (Jan 12).

The Pettis County Fire District Association will be hosting their Annual Chili Supper on Saturday, March 28th. Funds raised from this event allow the firefighters to help families in the area throughout the year. The firefighters will be going door to door selling tickets. You can also purchase tickets at Impact Signs Awning Wraps located on North Highway 65.

One of the big parts of childhood is symbolized in a balloon. I don't wanna get too deep here, but there's got to be a parallel with how light and fragile a balloon is and the tender delicacy of a kid's innocence.

If there's any comfort food that people tend to turn to around this time of year, it's definitely some warm soup or chili.  And if you're like me, making it yourself can be a bit of a hassle.  Maybe I'm just lazy. But I'm not too lazy to eat chili or soup to help someone else. That's just what you can do with Sedalia Boy Scout Troop 66!

There are a lot of great sporting events that are going on this weekend.  La Monte High School is ready and waiting for the Wentworth Dragons, and it should be a great game!  The Board of Education is  is hosting their annual soup/chili supper on Friday, Jan. 10. to warm you up and keep you in great spirits to cheer on the Vikings.
