The Sedalia City Council had a full plate of items to discuss Monday night at the Municipal Building, 200 S. Osage, including three presentations made at the pre-council session.
The City of Sedalia adopted its latest and greatest budget in the history of the City Monday night, with the FY2018 budget topping out at around $38 million.
At the Sedalia City Council meeting on Monday night (Nov.19), the council voted to once again delay a vote on the ordinance on mandatory inspections for buildings in downtown Sedalia. The delay came about as Ward 4 Councilman Larry Stevenson requested an amendment he had written be added to the ordinance. Three people came to the podium to protest the delay of the ordinance siting safety concerns.
At 1:00 this afternoon (Sept. 26), Sedalia Mayor Elaine Horn and the Sedalia City Council cut the ribbon to re-open the Washington Street Viaduct.
