You and I both know that in our day to day lives here in Mid-Missouri, driving is pretty much required.  You can't get around too far without some kind of vehicle.  Yeah, you could ride your bike to work or the library if you were feeling spry - but you might not want to do that in 95 degree weather or in three feet of snow.

Because we all depend on our vehicles, we also are a bit at the mercy of every other driver out there.  You may do everything in your power to be safe, courteous and kind, but that doesn't mean the guy next to you will be. Sometimes I'll be driving along, minding my own beeswax, and someone will come along and do something that turns me into an actual road rager.

Now don't get me wrong, I won't follow somebody or get violent or nothin', but I will holler at them.  And really, is it that hard to put on a turn signal? That gets me every time, when someone will be puttering along and then just turn out of nowhere!  Or how about the one where people will put on the turn signal, and then let it go for about four or five blocks before they turn?  Pick a spot and turn already!

And why on earth would you try to turn left into the Taco Bell?! I mean, come on, that's why they put that divider there, for people like you to NOT do that anymore.  Yeah, it's like not even a block, but you're going the wrong way!! Is your need for tacos that deeply seated in your gut that you have to commit a traffic violation?

Another one that gets me is people turning left out of Harbor Freight.  I don't know why.  I mean, it's not technically wrong.  But when they do that, they're so close to the median again, that bugs me.

What kind of stuff bugs you about Sedalia driving?

Drivingly yours,

Behka
