Three residents of Shelby, NC suffered minor injuries during a vehicle wreck Monday morning on I-70 in Saline County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident just before 7:00, near the 70.8 mile marker.

According to the online crash report, the driver of a 2008 Chevy truck fell asleep causing the truck to strike a cable median. The truck eventually traveled off the road and struck a ditch.

The driver, 68-year old Kenneth Littlejohn, and two passengers, 32-year old Mark K. Littlejohn and 8-year old Marcarius K. Littlejohn, suffered minor injuries.

Mark K. Littlejohn was taken to I-70 Community Hospital in Sweet Springs for treatment. The other two reportedly declined treatment. All three were wearing safety devices.
