A 26-year old Tipton man was recently arrested on burglary and drug charges in Moniteau County.

The Moniteau County Sheriff's office says that on January 16, deputies received information about the possible location of property that was reported as stolen in a burglary just outside California, MO.

Deputies acted on that information during the early morning hours of January 17, and executed a search warrant at a residence in Tipton. Deputies reportedly located items that had been reported stolen from California, MO on Jan. 16 and another burglary that had occurred near McGirk, MO on December 23.

During the search, authorities also located methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

A suspect, 26-year old Garret L. Fields, of Tipton, was arrested for 2nd Degree Burglary, Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Fields had a bond of $40,000.00.
