Two Children Injured in Pettis County Vehicle Accident

Two children from Sacramento, California were injured Sunday night in a Pettis County vehicle accident.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident just before 10:00, on private property in the 30000 block of Harding Road.

According to the online crash report, a 2015 Polaris traveled up a mound of dirt, then rolled backwards, pinning the occupants underneath the vehicle.

The driver, 11-year-old Aleksey A. Verbovshchuk, suffered serious injuries. He was taken to Children's Mercy Hosptial, by Air Evac, for treatment.

A passenger, 13-year old Samuel. A. Verbovshchuk, suffered minor injuries. He was also taken to Children's Mercy Hospital, by private vehicle, for treatment.

The Patrol was assisted by the Pettis County Sheriff's Department.
