
Two Warsaw Residents Injured in Benton County Wreck
Two Warsaw residents were injured Tuesday morning in a Benton County vehicle wreck.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident at 11:30, on US-65 at Route T.
According to the online crash report, a 2002 Ford Explorer crossed into the path of a 2008 GMC. The GMC traveled off the road and struck a guardrail.
The driver of the Ford, 34-year old Nicole Long, of Warsaw, suffered moderate injuries. She was flown to Truman Medical Center, by Staff for Life, for treatment. A passenger in the Ford, 4-year old Ava Long, suffered serious injures and was taken to Children's Mercy, by Lifeflight Eagle, for treatment.
The driver of the GMC, 60-year old James P. Johnson, of Sedalia, was reportedly uninjured.
Both vehicles sustained extensive damage and towed from the scene.
