Warm Missouri Days? They Pair Nice With Cedar Lake Cellars Waterfront
We are dealing with some very warm Missouri days. Better than cold weather days, right? So for those who can handle the warmer temps and like to be outside, that sunlight hitting off the backdrop and waterfront of Cedar Lake Cellars might be a great place to be. Let me show you why, and it is only 2 hours away from Sedalia.
The winery is open year round but in the warmer months you can imagine the sun reflecting off of the water that the winery overlooks. This place is big. 400 acres big. There are 2 lakes, and if you like wine, this place is a must. Lots of handcrafted wine options for sure.
The wine menu will have plenty of Missouri wines and California wines. You will be able to sample wines from all over the world. Red, white, blush. You can try them all.
Now with all of these amazing wine options, you got to pair it with delicious food right? Of course you do. You can check out their menu options HERE. They have a dining/tasting room, a smokehouse, and The Burger Shack. So food wise, I think they have you covered. Even seasonal dishes like corned beef are offered from time to time.
The prime rib is popular and available in the dining room, but perhaps the smokehouse option is more your taste. Hand crafted potato chips? Yes please.
As for the Burger Shack, it is in the Barrel Room and the meat is sure to please. There are vegan options as well as hot dogs that are available along with the burgers.
Picnic options are also available to you, through their Grab 'N' Go Marketplace. Get what you need, and find a spot or a lakeside picnic table. Or a few comfy chairs.
There is always a lot of entertainment going on at Cedar Lake Cellars. In fact, if you are a fan of country music (which of course you are) they will be welcoming Craig Morgan and Lonestar August 27th. You can click HERE for the music/events page.
Hopefully, this will give you an incentive to check out this place. They were voted best winery in the St Louis region by St Louis magazine.
Cedar Lake Cellars, 11008 Schreckengast Rd, Wright City, MO 63390. Carve out a day and make the trip. I am certain it will be worth every penny.
