A Warsaw woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident that occurred Thursday night in Pettis County.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that a northbound 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer, driven by 21-year-old Lae'Loni M. Johnson of Warsaw, was on Randall Road at Gentry Road at 11:43 p.m., when a deer ran into the path of the Chevy. The driver swerved in an attempt to avoid the deer and the Trailblazer slid. The driver overcorrected, traveled off the left side of the roadway and into a ditch.

Johnson suffered moderate injuries, and was transported to Bothwell Regional Health center by PCAD. She was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the incident.
