Waynesville Treatment Facility To Pay $500,000 In Medicaid Fraud Case
The Missouri Attorney General's office says a residential treatment center will pay a $500,000 settlement for defrauding Medicaid.
Attorney General Eric Schmitt announced Wednesday that Piney Ridge Center in Waynesville agreed in December to pay $504,250.
Center officials admitted they submitted Medicaid claims between September 2019 and August 2020 that falsely claimed to have provided therapy sessions to 13 children.
The residential facility treats children suffering from sexual behavior disorders and mental health illnesses.
