We're back on the hampster wheel with forecasts from the National Weather Service (NWS). Although we may get watches and warnings in our area, sometimes they do not come to fruition. We all need a break from the rain but it's still forecasted through the weekend.

According to the NWS:

Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are expected to develop across the area this afternoon into the evening. Strong wind gusts and large hail are possible where storms do develop, though coveragewill generally be isolated, with the exception of central to eastern Missouri. Heavy rainfall is likely within storms and localized flash flooding is possible.

Additional heavy rainfall is expected off and on throughout the week, and flash flooding remains a concern through Saturday.

Though storm coverage will be generally isolated across the area, strong wind gusts and large hail are possible where storms do develop this afternoon and evening. Heavy rainfall is likely within any storms, which may lead to localized flash flooding.
