A sunny Wednesday leads to a warm Thursday with the potential for thunderstorms during the morning. Friday starts out hot and steamy, but strong thunderstorms roll in during the afternoon and evening. Showers and storms continue through the weekend.
Strong winds are expected over the area today with some gusts reaching up to 40-50mph. Light rain over northern Missouri will move off to the east by early afternoon, leaving a breezy, but nice Wednesday afternoon. Cooler and drier conditions will prevail through early next week.
