Whiteman AFB Announces Commissary Closure

Whiteman Air Force Base in Knob Noster announced Saturday it will be closing its Commissary on April 7.

In a release on Facebook, the decision was explained and reasoning was given for the need for closure.

#TeamWhiteman, effective immediately the Whiteman AFB Commissary will be closed until at least April 7.

The closure is designed to protect Whiteman AFB from the transmission of COVID-19. The facility will be deep-cleaned while 509th Medical Group Public Health and the Defense Commissary Agency assess the situation and determine future processes to ensure a safe shopping experience for Airmen, their families, and retirees and other beneficiaries.
