Whiteman Airman Shot In Warrensburg Area

WHITEMAN AIR FORCE BASE, Mo. – An Airman assigned to Whiteman Air Force Base was involved in a shooting incident Saturday, May 9, 2015.

The incident occurred in Warrensburg.

The Airman was taken to a  Kansas City hospital.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with this Airman, the Airman’s family, and all others impacted by this event,” said Brig. Gen. Glen VanHerck, 509th Bomb Wing commander.

Local law enforcement officials are investigating and have ongoing coordination with officials from Whiteman Air Force Base. More information will be released when it becomes available.
