Some would say the Kansas City Royals season this year has been a magical one. For the first time since 2003, they have a winning record and they also are in the chase for the second Wild Card spot in the American League with a record of 83 wins and 73 losses.

The Royals have six games left in the season and play the Chicago White Sox and Seattle Mariners, who both have had off years, so I like the chances of the Royals winning. The question is whether the Cleveland Indians and Texas Rangers will falter as both those teams are ahead of the Royals. Either way, it seems the Royals were built to excel in 2014 and this year has been quite the surprise. It is nice to see the Royals blue worn out in public again outside of April and May, and it was fantastic to see sellout crowds in the last weekend of their homestand.

I'm thinking they will fall short of the Wild Card, but the way my NFL picks have gone this season, there's a good chance we may be standing in line waiting for Royals tickets. What do you think?
