Woman Arrested in Moniteau County for Meth Possession

A 24-year old woman from Jefferson City was recently arrested on drug charges in Moniteau County after deputies responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle.

A press release from the Moniteau County Sheriff's Department indicates that on September 14, deputies located a suspicious vehicle on Strawberry Road just south of California, MO. Deputies made contact with the driver, 24-year old Carol N. Terry, who reportedly told deputies that she was lost.

Authorities say Terry became nervous and appeared to be under the influence of a narcotic. Deputies reportedly observed marijuana paraphernalia inside the car and upon a further search, methamphetamine was also located in the vehicle.

Terry was arrested on several drug offences including Possession of a Controlled (meth). She was taken to the Moniteau County Jail.
