Moniteau County authorities recently arrested a 22-year old woman from California, MO for possession of methamphetamine.

The Moniteau County Sheriff's Department says on August 4, deputies conducted a traffic stop in Kliever, MO for defective equipment.

The driver, 22-year old Kyra L. Hankey, of California, MO, was discovered to have a Jefferson City warrant and was also driving with an expired license.

Consent to search the vehicle was reportedly granted and deputies located methamphetamine and marijuana inside.

At the time of the traffic stop, Hankey's 4-year old child was also in the vehicle.

Hankey was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance (meth), Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and the no-bond warrant from Jefferson City. She was taken to the Moniteau County Jail.

The Missouri Division of Social Services was contacted about the child.
