Hit & Run Suspect Captured; Faces Charges of DWI, Meth Possession
On Monday night, Sedalia Poice responded to 14th and Marvin for a hit-and-run accident with a suspect fleeing on foot. Police located the subject, identified as 31-year-old Julio Chub Che of Sedalia, at 14th and Montgomery, where he was detained. Investigation revealed that the driver was intoxicated.
Chub Che was arrested and transported to the SPD, where he provided a breath sample that showed his blood alcohol content was above .08. Chub Che was then transported to the Pettis County Jail.
While at the jail, staff performed a search of his property and a bag of meth was located in his wallet. A request for the charges of DWI, leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident and possession of a controlled substance was submitted to the prosecutor.
