Fatal accident reported in Henry County Thursday night

At 7 pm Thursday night the Missouri State Highway patrol reported a fatality accident that occurred on Route “M” west of County Road Northwest 221 in Henry County. The accident happened according to the report when the driver of a 2003 Ford, 58-year-old Woodrow Parker of Clinton lost control of his vehicle, left the roadway, and struck several trees before coming to rest. Parker was pronounced dead at the scene by the Henry County Sheriff’s office.

Fatality accident reported in Johnson County Saturday afternoon

At 4:50 Saturday afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a two-vehicle fatality accident on Missouri “58” at Route “W” in Johnson County. The accident happened according to the report when the 2007 Dodge driven by 48-year-old John Racy of Centerview crossed the centerline, and struck the 1991 Chevrolet driven by 67-year-old John Silverthorn head-on. Silverthorn received fatal injuries in the crash, and was pronounced deceased at Western Medical Center.  Racy received minor injuries, and refused treatment at the scene. An investigation is ongoing according to the accident report.

One-vehicle accident seriously injures a Warrensburg woman

At 4:15 Monday afternoon the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a one-vehicle accident on Missouri “23” North of “WW” in Johnson County. The accident occurred as the 2002 Chevrolet driven by 59-year-old Barbara Adams of Warrensburg travelled off the roadway, and overturned. The report states Adams was not wearing her seatbelt, and received serious injuries. She was transported to Research Hospital by Lifeflight for treatment.
