Vehicle stop nets man with a felony warrant Friday night

At 11: 39 Friday night Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at 5th and Montgomery. A check on the driver, 32-year-old Tyler Waits of Sedalia he was found to have a felony warrant out of Minnesota. Following confirmation of the warrant Wait was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail, and placed on 24-hour hold as a fugitive from out of state. Bond was set at $5000.

38-year-old Dresden man arrested for trespassing Friday afternoon

Just after noon on Friday Sedalia police entered an unsecured building in the 600 block of South Harding, and located a suspect who was not supposed to be in the building. Arrested at the scene was 38-year-old Justin Meyers of Dresden. At the time of the police report Meyers was in the Pettis County Jail pending a $283 bond on a charge of trespassing.

5-year-old girl bit in the face by a household dog

Around 8:37 Friday night the Sedalia Police were dispatched to Bothwell Hospital on a reported dog bite. Upon arrival officers found a 5-year-old female child had been bit in the face by a dog. The Pitt Bull reportedly belonged to someone living at the residence in the 1300 block of East 4th Street. The police report states the child was treated and released. No other information was available at news time.

Burglary complaint filed Friday afternoon in the 900 block of South Carr

At 2:10 Friday afternoon Sedalia Police were dispatched to a residence in the 900 block of South Carr on a burglary complaint. Upon arrival the victim reported that $850 worth of items were stolen from the home, and the thieves did $200 damage to the rear door to gain entry. The burglary is under investigation.

Woman’s bank card is used to make fraudulent withdrawals at an ATM

Just before 1pm Saturday afternoon Sedalia Police took a theft report from a female victim in the 1100 block of South Osage. According to the victim her bank card had been used to make 5-fraudulent withdrawals from her account from an ATM. The thief or thieves took $332 from her account according to the victim.

Vehicle window reportedly broken out in the 1100 block of Ware Avenue

Around 4pm Friday afternoon a victim in the 1100 block of Ware Avenue reported a passenger side window was broken out of their vehicle. Damage estimate was placed at $170. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.
