Two people arrested during a traffic stop Sunday morning

At 1:18am Sunday morning Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle near the intersection of Broadway and Kentucky. A check on the driver, 25-year-old Camina L. Comfort of Sedalia she was found to have a Henry County warrant, and was taken to the Pettis County Jail pending a $140 cash only bond. A check through dispatch also revealed a passenger identified as 41-year-old Todd C. Streb of Sedalia had a Pettis County Warrant. The police report states Streb was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail and placed on 24-hour hold pending a $4500 bond on the warrant, and pending charges of possession of a controlled substance.

Lexington woman and a Sedalia man arrested following a traffic stop Saturday night

Around 8:15pm Saturday night Sedalia police conducted a traffic stop at West Pettis and North Moniteau. Upon contact with the owner and driver of the vehicle, 32-year-old Kendra E. Shaw of Lexington she was found to forged the tab on her license plates. She was taken to the Pettis County jail, and placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges. A passenger in the vehicle, 24-year-old Jordan A. Besel of Sedalia was found to have an active Pettis County warrant. He was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending a $5000 bond on the failure to appear warrant.

Man feels threatened by a man with a gun and a ball bat

According to a Sedalia police report a victim who was reportedly at the convenience store at 16th and Ohio reported feeling threatened by a suspect who got out of an 80s or 90s Oldsmobile with a gun in one hand and a baseball bat in the other. The victim stated the man who had 4 or 5 other people in the vehicle stared at him all the time he was there. The suspect had not been identified at news time.

Theft from a vehicle reported in the 400 block of West Broadway Saturday

Saturday afternoon a victim in the 400 block of West Broadway reported, that sometime over the previous two-days someone broke a window of his truck, and stole $150 worth of tools. Damage to the truck was placed at $500. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.

Thieves damage a door of a residence attempting to gain access to the home

Just before 8pm Saturday night a female complainant in the 1100 block of East 6th filed an attempted burglary complaint. According to the female victim someone damaged a door to her residence in a failed attempt to gain entry to the home. There was nothing reported missing, and no suspects had been identified at news time.

This (Monday) morning a female victim reported she had received a threat over the phone, by a suspect known to her. The case is currently under investigation.
