Afternoon Sedalia Police Crime Reports For Friday May 8, 2015
Sedalia man arrested on 2nd degree domestic assault charges Wednesday morning
At 8:18 Wednesday morning Sedalia Police responded to a residence in the 500 block of East 12th on a domestic assault. Upon arrival officers met with the victim and the suspect. The victim reportedly struck several times with the open hand of the suspect, 31-year-old Darrell Johnson of Sedalia. Johnson was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail, where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges of 2nd degree domestic assault.
Hit and run accident reported in the 1800 block of South Ingram Wednesday afternoon
Around 4:48 Wednesday evening the Sedalia Police investigated a hit and run accident that occurred in a parking lot in the 1800 block of South Ingram. According to the female victim she parked her vehicle at 2:30 that afternoon, and when she returned two-hours later it had been struck by another vehicle. There were no suspects at news time.
Identification theft reported by a victim in the 1600 block of West 3rd
On Wednesday a victim in the 1600 block of West 3rd reported he learned his identity information was stolen, when he received a letter from the Missouri Department of Revenue about his driving status. The police report states another person was found to be using the victim’s personal information.
