Possible rape being investigated in Sedalia

On Thursday Sedalia Police spoke to a 22-year-old victim of a possible rape that took place in the area of 7th and Lafayette. According to the victim the incident took place on the 29th of December of 2014. There is an investigation being conducted at this time.

Traffic stop this (Monday) morning nets a revoked driver

At 7:15am this (Monday) morning the Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle with Texas plates for a defective brake light. Upon contact with the driver 43-year-old Michael L. Mann of Sedalia he was found to be revoked in another state, and driving without a valid driver license. Mann was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail and placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges.

34-year-old female suspect arrested on two-failure to appear warrants

Around 9:15 this (Monday) morning Sedalia Police reportedly made contact with a female suspect at an apartment in the 1200 block of South Limit with two-failure to appear warrants out of Pettis County. The police report states 34-year-old Carla R. Meeks of Sedalia was arrested and transported to the Pettis County Jail on the warrants pending a $500 cash only bond on each one.

Case of employee theft being investigated at a Sedalia business

Thursday morning a representative of a local apartment complex located on Olsen Road reported a theft at the business, which they believe could be an employee theft. According to the complainant approximately $3500 is reportedly missing from deposits. The police report states accounting information, and other information including the identification of the suspect has been turned over to the police for further investigation.

Local business and a bank report counterfeit $20 bills found in business deposits

At 11:30 am Friday morning a local business in Sedalia reported her bank had advised her that the bank deposit from her business contained a counterfeit $20 bill. When the police checked with the bank, the bank personnel informed them, that they had also received two other counterfeit $20 bills from other local businesses. There was no other information in the police report.
