Traffic stop Monday leads to arrest for a Sedalia man

Just after 2pm Monday afternoon Sedalia Police stopped a vehicle at South Limit and Liberty Park Blvd., for expired plates. A check on an occupant identified as 35-year-old Christopher S. Stevens of Sedalia found he had warrants for failure to appear out of Johnson County. At the time of the police report he was in the Pettis County Jail pending a $250 cash only bond.

17-year-old female suspect arrested for stealing from her grandmother

Monday morning the Sedalia Police took a theft complaint from a victim in the 900 block of East 13th. According to the victim her debit card was stolen, and she believed her granddaughter was responsible. The officer located the 17-year-old female suspect, and she admitted she had taken the card, and withdrew $300 from the account. The girl was arrested and taken to the Pettis County Jail where she was booked and released pending further investigation.

Local business reports a trailer and construction tools stolen

At 7am Monday morning a victim in the 2700 block of South Limit reported a white box trailer was taken from the business lot without permission. The trailer reportedly had a value of $5000, and the construction tools inside were worth $3500. The trailer has a company logo on the side, and the license number on the Missouri plate is 23E9CP. There was no other information in the police report.

A bottle of prescription medication was reportedly found in the 1400 block of South Vermont on Monday.
