26-year-old Sedalia man arrested for parole violation Wednesday afternoon

At 4:15 Wednesday afternoon Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Probation and Parole Office located at 205 Thompson Road for a suspect with a warrant for a parole violation. Upon arrival officers arrested 26-year-old Michael Dale Inman of Sedalia, and transported him to the Pettis County Jail on the no-bond warrant.

Sedalia woman arrested for stealing at the Walmart Store

Just before 5pm Wednesday afternoon Sedalia Police responded to the Walmart Store located at 3201 West Broadway on a shoplifter. Upon arrival officers arrested 39-year-old Paula Hopkins of Sedalia, and transported her to the Pettis County Jail where she was placed on 24-hour hold pending formal charges of stealing.

8-year-old girl bitten by a dog Wednesday afternoon, dog owner issued a summons

Around 1:40 Wednesday afternoon a victim in the 200 block of South Prospect reported his 8-year-old daughter had been bitten by a large male Golden Retriever mix dog. Sedalia Police Officers located the dog and its owner at an address nearby, and issued the dog’s owner a Municipal Summons. The dog is in quarantine at its owner’s residence. There was no information on the severity of the dog bite on the child’s forearm in that police report.

Female suspect issued a summons for domestic assault Wednesday evening

Just after 5pm Wednesday afternoon Sedalia Police responded to a domestic disturbance in the 100 Block of Southwest Blvd. According to the police report after speaking to both parties a municipal summons was issued to the female suspect involved.

Vandals slash a man’s truck tires in the 600 block of East 9th Wednesday Evening

At 5:13 Wednesday Evening a Victim in the 600 block of East 9th reported the tires on his truck were slashed sometime overnight. Value of the tires was estimated at approximately $800. There were no suspects at the time of the police report.

Large amount of thefts from vehicle reported over the past two-days

A vehicle in the 1100 block of South Barrett was reportedly broken into overnight.  A female victim told Sedalia Police thieves stole a cell phone charger, and $2 from the vehicle. She also said the thieves also broke her cell phone inside the vehicle.

Early this (Thursday) morning a victim in the 1400 block of West 11th reported someone entered his vehicle overnight, and threw his wife’s wallet around. The thief or thieves also stole the owner’s manual for the vehicle.

At 5:42 this (Thursday) morning a female victim in the 900 block of South Carr reported someone entered her vehicle , and stole her bank card, nurses license, $40 in cash, and the owner’s manual for the vehicle.

Around 6:43 this (Thursday) morning a victim in the 300 block of East 14th reported the theft of an undisclosed amount of money from the center console of his vehicle.

Just before 7:30 this (Thursday) morning Several items were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 1000 block of West 6th. The victim said the thefts took place in the overnight hours.
