Juveniles throwing snow balls at a man’s door provokes an incident with a rifle

At 5:38 Tuesday evening the Sedalia police were dispatched to a residence in the 300 block of West 5th on a man reportedly threatening juveniles with a gun. Upon arrival the man told the officers he heard loud banging on his door, and did not know what was going on; he grabbed his gun, and ran outside where he saw juveniles that had been throwing snowballs at his door. The police report states the juvenile’s parents were notified and after speaking to all the parties no one is pursuing charges.

Local business reports a burglary this (Friday) morning

Around 6:44 this (Friday) morning the Sedalia police responded to the Country Ruffle located at 200 West 3rd on a burglary complaint. Upon arrival the caller told the officers someone had shattered the front door of the business. The police report states an empty cash register was found smashed on the floor inside the business. There was no estimate on the damages, and no information on possible suspects was contained in the police report.

Suspect steals $100 from a woman’s purse on South Sneed

According to a Sedalia police report at 7pm Thursday night a female victim in the 1400 block of South Sneed reported a theft to the Sedalia Police. The victim told the officers a suspect took $100 out of her purse while she was not at home. The suspect had not been contacted at the time of the police report.
