Two suspects arrested during a disturbance investigation on West 3rd Monday

At 11:45 Monday morning Sedalia Police investigated a disturbance at a residence in the 1000 block of West 3rd. Upon arrival officers saw two people sitting on the front porch, who went inside the residence when they got out of the patrol car. The police report states the officers recognized one of the people as a person with an active warrant. The officers asked the suspects to unlock the door, but they refused requiring the officer to force entry. Arrested at the scene was 34-year-old Sherrell A. Peck of the residence, who had 2 confirmed active warrants. One of the warrants was a Sedalia Municipal failure to appear warrant with an $88.50 cash only bond, and the 2nd was a Pettis County warrant with a $20,000 bond. Also arrested at the scene was 28-year-old Alphonso Caphone Ferguson of Sedalia, who was found to have a Pettis County warrant for failure to appear with a $1500 bond. Both suspects were transported to the Pettis County Jail pending the bonds.

29-year-old Sedalia man arrested on a Johnson County warrant

Monday afternoon Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Probation and Parole office at 205 Thompson Road on a suspect with an active warrant. Upon arrival officers took 29-year-old Shane E. Hatami of Sedalia into custody, and transported him to the Pettis County jail pending a $25,000 bond on a probation violation warrant out of Johnson County.

This (Tuesday) morning a victim in the 1700 block of West 11th reported her son’s bike has been stolen.
