Sexual assault under investigation by Sedalia Police

According to a Sedalia Police report Tuesday, the Sedalia Police Department is investigating a sexual assault, that occurred in the 1800 block of South Ingram. There was no other information on the story at news time.

17-year-old male suspect arrested for stealing at Walmart Monday night

At 7:50 Monday night Sedalia Police were dispatched to the Walmart Store on a theft complaint. Upon arrival store personnel told the officers 17-year-old Jose Herrera of Sedalia concealed a smart phone mount on his person, and left the store, where he was stopped by asset protection personnel. At the time of the police report Herrera was in the Pettis County Jail pending a $533.50 bond.

Local Car rental Business reports a theft

Monday afternoon Sedalia Automotive located at 2101 South Limit reported the theft of a 2010 Ford Fusion. According to management the vehicle was supposed to be returned on the 24th of July. There was no other information at news time.
