Monday afternoon a woman reported an attempt to run her down with a car

Around 1:15 Monday morning Sedalia Police officers were sent to the 400 block on North Engineer on a reported child custody dispute. Upon arrival the officers made contact with a woman with a child who reported that someone had attempted to run over her with a car. The report states the woman and child were staying with her father. The officers gave the Children’s Division a report on the incident for their information.

28-year-old Sedalia man arrested on multiple warrants Thursday

At 6:12 Thursday (May 21) morning Sedalia Police arrested 28-year-old Nathan Wayne Dotson of Sedalia on 3-failure to appear warrants. At the time of the police report Dotson was in the Pettis County Jail on warrants for failure to appear out of Macon, Boone, and Randolph Counties. Bond on the warrants collectively is set at $20,000.

Slater suspect arrested on a probation violation out of Saline County

Around 6:30 Thursday (May 21) evening Sedalia Police investigated a burglary in progress. Upon arrival at the scene the officers found several subjects, and ran computer checks on all of them. The computer checks revealed that 20-year-old Brett Allen Rose of Slater had a probation violation warrant out of Saline County. Rose was arrested and transported to the Pettis County jail pending a $10,000 bond.

911 hang up call results in arrest for a 32-year-old Sedalia woman Monday night

Just after 11pm Monday night Sedalia Police responded to a residence in the 1700 block of West 16th on a 911 hang up. Upon arrival the officers found there was no emergency. A check on the individuals present revealed that 32-year-old Shannon R. Spruell of Sedalia had a failure to appear warrant out of Pettis County. At the time of the police report Spruell was in the Pettis County jail pending a $3500 bond.

Kansas City Kansas man arrested Monday night for assault

At 7:03pm Monday night Sedalia Police were dispatched to a disturbance in the 1700 block of West 32nd.  Upon arrival the officers found that 52-year-old Michael J. Potts of Kansas City Kansas had assaulted a female victim during an altercation. Potts was arrested and taken to the Pettis County jail, where he was placed on 24-hour hold pending formal state charges.

Monday morning a man in the 900 block of West 4th reported a Silver Suzuki 650 he had bought recently was stolen from his yard. There were no suspects.
