Anna Marie Hazel, 53, of Boonville, died Friday, August 30, 2013, at Landmark Hospital, Columbia.  She was born on October 30, 1959, at Kansas City, Missouri, a daughter of James and Barbara Louise (Colvin) Uptegrove.

On March 25, 1978, at Parkview Christian Church, Sedalia, she was united in marriage to Richard Eugene Hazel.  This union was blessed with the gift of three children: James, Kimberly, and Angela.

She graduated from Boonville Vo-Tech Nursing Program and worked as an LPN at Riverheights Retirement Center.  In 1987, she went to work in the ob department at Keller Memorial Hospital in Fayette.  In 1992, she moved to Cole Camp and worked at several nursing homes in the area, including the Good Samaritan Care Center in Cole Camp, Lincoln Community Nursing Home in Lincoln and Rest Haven in Sedalia.  In 2011, she moved back to Boonville.

Anna enjoyed reading, playing board games, especially Aggravation, playing video games and Pitch, listening to her kids sing karaoke, and playing with her grandchildren.

She is survived by:
her father, James Uptegrove of Cole Camp;
two daughters, Kimberly Hazel and her fiancé Colin Kennard of Slater and Angela Hopper and her husband Jeffrey of Boonville;
her son, James Edward Hazel and his wife Kimberly of Sedalia;
her sister, Pamela Wilson of Cole Camp;
her brother, Ross Wilson of Lebanon;
seven grandchildren, Brandon Motley, Cody Jones, Dalton Jones, Daniel Pardee, Caidyn Hazel, Analeah Hazel, and Dagen Hopper; and
three great-grandchildren, Eric Evans, Serenity Motley, and Abigail Motley.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Uptegrove and sister, Laura Kreisel.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2013, at Stover Cemetery in Stover.

Memorial contributions may be given to family's choice in care of the Fox Funeral Home, Cole Camp.

Pallbearers will be James Hazel, Clifford Hazel, Jr., Andrew Hazel, Ryan Eberhardt, Terry Hall, Richard Hazel.
