[Update] The suspect wanted in connection with the death of a Sedalia woman turned himself in to authorities on January 21.

Heather McClellan died from stab wounds she suffered in an assault at a Sedalia apartment on January 14. A warrant for the arrest of Justin K. Lewis was issued by the Pettis County Prosecutor late last week.

Sedalia Police say Lewis was taken into custody without incident. He is currently being held at the Pettis County Jail on charges of Murder 2nd, Armed Criminal Action and Unlawful Use of a Weapon. Bond is set at $500,000.

[Original Story] The Pettis County Prosecutor has obtained a warrant for the arrest of 28-year old Justin K. Lewis (aka "Country"), in connection to the death of Heather McClellan.

A press release from the Sedalia Police Department says Justin K. Lewis is formerly of Sedalia.

The warrant is for 2nd Degree Murder, Armed Criminal Action, and Unlawful Use of a Weapon.

Anyone with information on Justin Lewis’ whereabouts is urged to call the nearest law enforcement agency. Authorities say to not approach Lewis, as he should be considered Armed & Dangerous.

Pettis County Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $1,000.00 for any information that leads to the arrest of Justin K. Lewis.
