Barbara Ann Sprung, 78, of Windsor, passed away Thursday, October 10, 2013 at her home. She was born on January 16, 1935 in Borup, Minnesota, a daughter of Lowell and Olga (Evanstad) Ambuehl, who preceded her in death.

On July 9, 1954 in Ada, Minnesota she was united in marriage to Morris Sprung, who survives of the home.

Barbara loved riding horses. She enjoyed everything from riding on trail rides and in parades to harness horse buck board riding. Barbara loved being outdoors doing chores, feeding horses, and mowing the yard. She could finish the inside house work in about thirty minutes just in order to get outside.

She is survived by two children, Reed (Theresa) Sprung of Center City, Minnesota, and Kari Sprung of Plymouth, Minnesota; two brothers, Charles Ambuehl of Fargo, North Dakota, and Wayne (Arlene) Ambuehl of New Hope, Minnesota; five grandchildren, Reed Jr., Shawna, Stephanie, Jennifer, Dylan; and three great grandchildren, Logan, Jackson, and Gianna.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Marcy Samuelson.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Rea Funeral Chapel, Sedalia, with Pastor Gene Eckstrand officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral chapel one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be held at a later date at the Ada City Cemetery in Minnesota.
